Dyslexics & their Family History
Family history often plays a significant role in the lives of dyslexics. It’s common to find evidence of dyslexia in parents and close relatives once a child is diagnosed. Many parents realise they have similar learning challenges only after their children are identified. These parents are usually aware of their unique strengths and weaknesses but may not recognise that these traits are part of a shared, identifiable pattern. Understanding this family connection can foster greater empathy and support within families
